The Oreling brick factory in the northern part of the Soviet Union was adapted to local conditions and used the waste generated from the locally selected iron ore to make colored tiles. The economic benefits gained over 20 years are above 10 million rubles. The medium numbered bricks have a strength of 141.8 kg/cm~2. The main components of the beneficiation waste used in this plant are quartz and ore components. The content of ore components accounts for only 9-13% on average.
