一氧化氮合成酶的过度激活及一氧化氮大量产生介导兴奋性氨基酸的毒性作用。一氧化氮合成酶有三种同分异构体,其在脑梗塞中的作用及特性各不相同。一氧化氮合成酶抑制剂和一氧化氮合成酶敲除鼠是研究一氧化氮及一氧化氮合成酶在脑梗塞中作用的有力工具。一氧化氮及一氧化氮合成酶在脑梗塞中发挥双重作用。一氧化氮供体及一氧化氮合成酶抑制剂有可能成为治疗脑梗塞的神经保护剂。
Overexpression of nitric oxide synthase and nitric oxide production in large quantities mediate the toxic effects of excitatory amino acids. There are three isoforms of nitric oxide synthase, which have different roles and characteristics in cerebral infarction. Nitric oxide synthase inhibitors and nitric oxide synthase knockout mice are powerful tools for studying the role of nitric oxide and nitric oxide synthase in cerebral infarction. Nitric oxide and nitric oxide synthase play a dual role in cerebral infarction. Nitric oxide donors and nitric oxide synthase inhibitors may become neuroprotective agents for the treatment of cerebral infarction.
