Developed a new, smart sensor for the voltammetric measurement of oxygen or glucose concentration. A planar voltammetric electrode structure, a CMOS interface circuit and a temperature sensor are integrated on the chip. The total area of this smart sensor is 750μm × 5000μm. Two different electrode configurations. Two-electrode system with Au as the working electrode was used for PO_2 measurement in the blood. The three-electrode system with Pt as the working electrode and the sub-electrode was used to measure the glucose concentration in the blood. The electrode was coated with a layer of glucose oxidase membrane.
