胶东丘陵区的山区旱薄地,约占全地区总耕地面积的10%。由于它土体薄、土质差,蓄水能力低,加之灌溉条件差,产量一直低而不稳。当地群众创造出“立足于土,着眼于水,紧跟上肥”的改土经验,改变了土壤性能,增产效果显著。现将他们的经验介绍如下: 一、扩大土壤蓄水量。土壤水分严重不足是阻碍山丘旱薄地提高产量的关键因素。为了增加土壤水分,他们逐年加厚土层,扩大蓄水容量,增加有机质,平整土地,疏松土壤,从而增强了土壤的保墒能力。旱薄地的土层一般逐年加厚至2.0—2.5尺,沙性的可比粘性的土壤
