Japan is China’s largest trading partner in Asia and China’s third largest trading partner in the world. The earthquake of March 11, 2011 and the ensuing tsunami caused huge losses to Japan. Japan’s quake-stricken area is also an important agricultural, fishery and electronics industrial zone in Japan. Through the analysis of the basic conditions of Sino-Japanese trade and the related data, we can explore the possible dominance and implicit influence that the disaster has on the Sino-Japanese trade and put forward some strategic options for the healthy development of China’s trade with Japan.
