5月12日汶川大地震以来,余震不断且震级较大,交通、通讯时通时断……震区情况究竟怎样?赴震区采访会遇到哪些意想不到的困难?从北京到成都,这些问题始终萦绕着我们。受灾现场的电视画面也不时地在眼前浮现,灾区遭此劫难,那里的各族群众如何?那里需要我们怎样的帮助?带着一连串的问题,肩负民族工作者和新闻工作者的双重职责,5月17日,《中国民族》杂志和民族画报、中国民族报的记者组成报道小组,奔赴羌族、藏族等民族聚居的地震灾区。我们连续奔波7日,辗转2000余公里,记录灾区各族人民遭受的苦难,以及在抗震救灾中全国支援四川,危难之时中华民族所彰显的民族凝聚力。

On the 7th, we ran continuously for 2,000 kilometers, recording the suffering suffered by the people of all nationalities in the disaster-stricken areas and the national cohesion demonstrated by the Chinese nation during the earthquake-relief work in support of Sichuan and the crisis.
