In recent years, reflective teaching has become the core focus in English new curriculum. This paper, by introducingand discussing the concept as well as the characteristics of reflective teaching, analyses the interactive relationship between teachers andstudents. It then discusses the role of reflective teaching in teachers’professional development. Finally, it presents a few ways on howreflective teaching can be done.
