Integrated Device Technology Inc:(简称IDT)再度突破科技成就,推出业界首项专为25Mbps异步传输模式(ATM)网络而设的全面综合化实体层界面(PHY)收发器半导体产品。IDT的创新SWITCH-StAR系列PHY收发器旨在为多媒体桌面电脑提供一项低廉实惠的高度集成解决方案,使桌面电脑能够具备ATM的卓越速度及功能,全面支援多媒体电脑软件的运行。而今次推出的IST77105将是SWITCH-StAR系列的第一款产品。 IDT77105 PHY内部齐备多项主机应用系统与ATM网络之间所需的全面实际连接功能。该元件先将收发双向的信息单元(Cell)格式化,令其发挥密码转换、编/解码以至线路均衡等功能。 IDT77105是首项在同一装置内齐备25MbpsATM网络的PHY子功能的集成电路芯片,充分将传输汇聚(TC)子层及实体媒介相辅(PMD)子层两项独立的芯片揉合于一身,成为一项体积甚为轻巧(仅10mm×10mm)的STQFP平片装置,能将主机板占有面积减少一半以上,而成本亦可降低一半。
Integrated Device Technology Inc (IDT) Breaks Back to Technical Achievements by Introducing Industry’s First Fully Integrated Physical Layer Interface (PHY) Transceiver for 25Mbps Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) Networks. IDT’s Innovation The SWITCH-StAR family of PHY transceivers is designed to provide multimedia desktop computers with a cost-effective, highly integrated solution that enables desktop computers to deliver the speed and power of ATM with full support for multimedia computer software. The current IST77105 will be the first in the SWITCH-StAR series. The IDT77105 PHY houses the full range of physical connectivity required between multiple host applications and the ATM network. The element first send and receive bi-directional information unit (Cell) formatted, make it play password conversion, encoding / decoding and line balancing and other functions. The IDT77105 is the first integrated circuit chip with PHY sub-functions of a 25Mbps ATM network in the same device to fully integrate two independent chips of the Transport Aggregation (TC) sublayer and the Physical Medium Complementary (PMD) sublayer into one A very compact (only 10mm × 10mm) STQFP flat-panel device can reduce the board footprint by more than half and reduce the cost by half.
