我们在整理馆藏古籍的过程中,发现有一大本地图册,原卡片著录:明代舆图一卷。经考,其为国内现存明代《广舆图》之最早版本。中国地图自西晋裴秀以后,至贾耽而为之一振。后此除沿袭贾图外,一般官用地图,大抵仍依传统之绘法。至北宋沈括,虽也从事地图与模型之制作,但体制上基本没有大的进步。南宋时,《华夷》、《禹迹》二图上石后,贾图势力,则成强弩之末。降及元代,乃有朱思本舆图之作,始又中兴。明、清则为朱之势力所统,朱图影响之大,较之前之贾图,有过之而无不及。《铁琴铜剑楼藏书目》卷二十
