The development of science and technology has entered the information age. The rapid growth of information requires the use of advanced technologies. The development of computer multimedia provides the most intuitive and powerful support for today’s information processing and communication. This article uses computer multimedia technology combined with military medical and health information management, introduced the design of multimedia information system. The requirements of the system software and hardware environment are discussed in detail from the technical method, and some design methods for solving the multimedia database and its data model from the general database are proposed. In the system design, according to the characteristics of the multimedia database: large amount of data, unstructured information, information length is not fixed, voice, video and timeline sensitivity and other characteristics of the corresponding solutions. The multimedia information system is mainly characterized by graphics, images, and the like, prompting the aesthetics of the interface in the design of the screen layout and the operability of the screen design. In addition, in order to set off the effect of the system, a screen color design principle was proposed. The system is the first to introduce multimedia technology into the information management of military medical and health systems, enabling information expression beyond text and graphics to achieve intuitive information representations such as images, animation, video, stereo and touch-screen visual and interactive dialogues. The system has a total of 240 pictures, 50,000 words, and 40 minutes of commentary. The total amount of information is about 260M.
