The concept of training (askēsis) embodies the Stoics pedagogy and self-cultivation theory. With the analysis of Musilius’ training concept of Late Stalinist, this article tries to prove that the Stalian “askēsis” is different from asceticism (asceticism) as a concept of self-education and character education ). This is not only reflected in the attitudes toward the body, but also reflected in the effort to emphasize the individual and the humanistic shift in the practical interest. In contrast, the Stoic-style “askēsis” concept may be a more enlightened concept, self-cultivation path and way of life that is more easily accepted and practiced by modern people.
