This paper describes the status and role of MP159 alloy in today’s aerospace fasteners alloys and selects special standards for the materials used in aerospace fasteners.The chemical composition of MP159 alloy and its applicable technical conditions, physical properties, mechanical properties, Machinability, weldability and corrosion resistance of MP159 alloy.It introduces the uniform treatment system and special processing technology of MP159 alloy.It is pointed out that the cold working capacity of MP159 alloy must be strictly controlled in the range of 48 ± 1% Inducing the non-proliferation martensitic transformation and forming a special strengthening mechanism of hexagonal lattice-like hexagonal platelets in the face-centered cubic matrix.The article briefly states the heat treatment system, the product shape and the application of MP159 alloy.
