Objective: To investigate the role of Survivin and P53 protein in the occurrence, development and malignant transformation of hydatidiform mole. Methods: The expressions of p53 and Survivin protein in 42 cases of hydatidiform mole (12 cases of malignant transformation) and 18 cases of normal villous tissue were determined by immunohistochemistry PV-6000 method. Results: The expression of Survivin in normal villus and hydatidiform mole had no significant difference (P> 0.05). There was significant difference in the expression of p53 between normal villus and hydatidiform mole (P <0.05), Survivin and p53 protein were positive The rates of expression in the hydatidiform mole malignant group were higher than those in the hydatidiform mole malignant group (P <0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Survivin and p53 may be involved in the process of trophoblast invasion. To detect the protein expression of P53 and Survivin in hydatidiform mole and predict the hydatidiform mole malignant transformation, and to provide a theoretical basis for clinical preventive chemotherapy.
