在今天,围绕着身体或者身体艺术的各类创作仍然是最前卫的话题。而不可否认的是,女性作为创作的主体,在无论是男尊女卑的古代还是提倡男女平等的现代,她们更多的是作为一类特定的创作对象而存在。女性的身体已经成为艺术创作中一个特有的符号,充斥在象征权力、财富、美丽、性感、欲望的各种海报杂志、电视广告、摄影作品以及各类艺术创作之中。对于女性身体的认识以及女人是什么的定义,往往体现着男性的权利及其对女性行为与思想的规训。而栾伟丽一系列关于莲的油画作品,却给了我们提供了一个新的视觉,基于女性本身和对民族文化传统的认识,呈现出一种比较含蓄而温暖的生命意识和母性立场。

However, Luan Wei-li’s series of paintings about Lin give us a new vision. Based on the women themselves and their understanding of the national cultural tradition, they present a rather subtle and warm sense of life and a maternal position.
