二十多年来,随看科学与技术的发展,随着应用面的扩大,真空与低温领域的国外文献中出现了愈来愈多的缩写词。其中,以美国“真空科学与技术”杂志(J.Vac.Sci.Technol.)出现最多。为了广大科技人员阅读国外文献的方便,我们从美国“真空科学与技术”杂志、英国的“真空”杂志(Vacuum)、西德的“真空技术”杂志(Vak.Techni.)、日本的“真空”杂志、日本的“低温工学”杂志、美国的“低温”杂志中选出了近3000个缩写词。由于受专业水平所限,大量的与表面物理有关的缩写词没有选入。另外,由于低温方面的缩
