大骨节病区居民凡主食大米者即可避免发生大骨节病。作者对主食面粉的大骨节病区的观察发现,与非病区相比,病区面粉中多量的苏糖醇为可疑致大骨节病物质。病区大米中是否可检出苏糖醇未曾有人注意过,更未见诸文献。作者在尚志县亚布力沟里宣传改旱田为水田,改主食玉米为大米以防治大骨节病的措施,近年来已被居民逐步接受、落实。现在这个病区的病情已被基本控制。居民主食中,绝大多数人大米所占比重已超这个数。在尚志病区大米中,经反复测试,未能检出苏糖醇。报告如下。
