林维既受民族文化的浸染,又受过舞美的训练,对造型能力与色彩敏感,在中国美术学院研读花鸟时,沿着中西绘画拉开距离的主张,回归借古开今的艺术道路。林维的写意花鸟画,欢快、饱满,和谐,靓丽,水分饱和,雍容大度。取法的范围,包括了宋人的勾勒设色,元人的细笔墨花,明清的淋漓水墨,还有双勾的白描,纯以彩色图之的没骨,可谓不拘一格。
Lin Wei is not only influenced by national culture, but also trained by the beautiful and the graceful. She is sensitive to the modeling ability and color.
