The electrochemical oxidation of biuret was carried out in an acidic solution containing Cl- and Br- ions to prepare azodicarbonamide. The yield of the product was 93-98% and the purity was 99.6%. The current efficiency was 88-92%. Mother liquor can be recycled, the basic does not produce waste.
