This article explores a laboratory study of charge measurement methods - titration of polyelectrolytes using a flow current detector (SCD). The reason why these results make it difficult to compare the results of charge measurements in paper mills becomes apparent. This technique in the lab can be used in conjunction with the Britt tank retention assay to explore the reaction mechanism between polymers, pulp and filler. This article also discusses the behavior of three different polymers in their testing and focuses on the differences in their mechanism of action.
