Suzuki Emi is half-Japanese and half-Chinese who is the most favored model for both Seventeen and Pinky. Suzuki has also done many commercials and had parts in PVs, and she was part of the short-lived musical duo Juemilia.

Born in Shanghai and she grew up in the city until she was 12, Emi emigrated to Kyoto with her family and naturalized to Japanese citizenship, obtained her Japanese name as Emi Suzuki, at the same time.
她出生于上海，12岁时，随家移民到京都，自然成为日本公民，并同时拥有日文名字铃木依美。
She attended Fujinomori Middle School, a public junior high school founded by Kyoto, shortly after arriving in Japan, and got to be able to speak fluent Japanese within one year. After she graduated from the middle school, Emi entered Kyoto Ryoyo Highschool, but shortly afterwards she left the high school.
她在京都的公立学校Fujinomori上初中，到日本后不久，一年内就能讲一口流利的日语。初中毕业后升入Ryoyo高中，不久辍学。
Emi had an audition for the fashion magazine Seventeen at the suggestion of her friend and successfully passed the audition named Miss Seventeen Audition in the summer of 1999 and began her modeling career at the age of 15. Soon she became a prominent model.
依美通过朋友参加流行杂志Seventeen的试镜，并成功通过，15岁的她成为1999年之夏的Seventeen人物小姐，从此开始了模特生涯。不久出落为名模。
She terminated her contract with Seventeen in 2006 and then settled a new contract with the fashion magazine PINKY as an exclusive model. While working as a model for PINKY under an exclusive contract, she also has worked as a model for many fashion magazines. She has often been described as "The charismatic model".Besides aside from the modelling she appeared in many TV serieses, and especially, had made efforts to work with the TV series Yukan Club during 2007.
2006年，她终止了与Seventeen杂志的合同，作为一位名模与另一家PINKY流行杂志签约，同时也与多家杂志合作。常被描绘为“魅力超凡的模特”。除此之外还出现在电视剧中，在2007年拍摄的《有闲俱乐部》剧中作出很大努力。
