1 Introduction Tvefrfjellet mine is part of the Folldal Verk Division, located in a mountainous plateau in central Norway at a height of about 1100 m above sea level. Mine is located above the support line, poor weather conditions. Production began in 1968, the annual output of about 650,000 t. 2 Geological Tverrfjellet ore body is located close to the Ordovician volcanic rocks in the Caledonian. Ore, usually massive pyrite, is present in steeply lean bean-shaped ore bodies that are 5 to 50 m thick and 300 to 800 m long. The main mineral is yellow iron
