对付日益突出的网络瓶颈问题,传统的解决方法往往是提高单机的性能,使之达到最优配置,这在一定程序上起到了效果,但是负载不足的问题依然突出。或者使用多台服务器来分担不同的任务,也就是说每台服务器所起的作用不同,比如:一台服务器提供静态页面,另一台服务器提供动态页面等等,这种服务器的结构属于非对称分布方式,管理和维护很不方便。
