我们敬爱的周总理十分关怀评剧。他老人家不知有多少次观看评剧,不知有多少次来到我们中间,对评剧的改革和发展提出许多具体的、宝贵的意见。每当忆起这些珍贵的会见,我们就禁不住热泪盈眶。记得一九六三年的一个晚上,敬爱的周总理到剧场看我们的戏。演出休息时,总理兴致勃勃地向乐池走来。他站在乐池边,弯着身和乐池里的伴奏人员一一握手,亲切地询问我们乐队有多少人,使用什么乐器。还问,你们在乐池里演奏,形成了一个音墙,是否对演员的歌唱和观众的欣赏有影响?我们陪同总理到休息室后,总理站着与陪同的
Our beloved Premier Zhou cares very much about Pingju Opera.
