The cold war is a lasting rivalry,which is demonstrated through military coalitions,weapons development,industrial advances,competitive technological developments(including the space race),etc.,between United States and Soviet and their respective allies.The film The Day the Earth Stood Still launched in 1951 expresses the early state of the cold war and focuses on depicting various debates on the issue of nuclear weapon implicitly.
