On April 26 this year, NASA’s thermal capacity mapping satellite entered an initial orbit at an inclination of 97.6 degrees, an area of 550 kilometers and an apogee of 642 kilometers. Now the control staff of the Goddard Space Flight Center is using the satellite’s hydrazine propulsion system to correct its initial orbit to a circular orbit of 620 degrees at an obliquity of 97.8 degrees.
