Machinery Industry Science and Technology Information Symposium was held in Beijing on November 26-30, 1997. A total of 90 delegates attended the meeting from 79 scientific research institutes, universities, group companies and local information stations of the national mechanical system. Mr. Chen Songsheng, Deputy Director of Information Department of State Science and Technology Commission, Director Song Tihu of Science and Technology Department of Machinery Department, Mr. Zhou Jianping, Deputy Director of Production Department of Machinery Department and relevant leaders of Science and Technology Information Institute of Machinery Department attended the meeting and discussed the construction and development of information resources
