卢氏县位于我省最西部,是我省第一个大县,全县土地面积3,665平方公里,地垮伏牛山南北坡,地形大部为中山与低山丘陵,沿河两岸有小面积河谷平原。调查区为洛河北侧河谷平原及低山丘陵,分属西湾、石桥两个大队,面积7,975亩。区内土壤有2个土类,4个亚类,12个土属,17个土种。潮土为黄潮土亚类,包括砂土等3个土属,砂土等4个土种,多分布在洛河滩地,占区内土壤面积的6.05%,属中等肥力土壤。褐土有潮褐土等3个亚类,潮垆土等9个土属,潮垆土等13个土种,多分布在阶地与低山丘陵,占区内土壤面积的93.95%,其中肥力较高的垆土等仅占16.08%,而大部分为中、低肥力土壤。调查区农业生产的主要问题是农、林、牧生产结构不合理,干旱与水土流失严重。今后必须采取调整农、林、牧比例,逐步实现生态平衡,进行小流域治理,防止水土流失,加强防旱保墒,种植耐旱作物,提倡旱作农业等利用改良措施,大大提高土壤肥力,保证农业生产的高产稳产。
