Objective: To investigate the effect of oral BCG-induced immune tolerance on CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells. Methods: EAE rat model was established by oral MPB. The rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: BCG group (0.5mg / kg) and EAE model group (PBS group), 15 rats in each group. Rats served as control group. The percentages of CD4 + CD25 + T lymphocytes in peripheral blood, thymus and spleen were detected by flow cytometry at 15d and 27d after immunization. The levels of IL-6, TGF-β, IgE and IgG were detected by ELISA. Results: Compared with EAE model group, the percentage of CD4 + CD25 + T lymphocytes in peripheral blood, thymus and spleen of BCG group increased, the levels of serum IL-6 and TGF-β increased and the level of serum IgE and IgG decreased . CONCLUSION: Oral administration of BCG exerts immune tolerance by up-regulating the proportion of CD4 + CD25 + T lymphocytes in lymphoid organs, inhibiting effector T cell activity.
