养胃汤方出自清代叶天士的《临证指南医案》,由麦冬、白扁豆、玉竹、甘草、桑叶、沙参组成。用于治疗胃虚少纳,土不生金,音低气馁,属胃阴虚证。叶氏认为,胃为阳土,喜柔润恶刚燥,主降,胃阴虚则不饥不纳,治应以清养甘濡而润之品[1],提出“阴虚学说”——创立养胃汤,弥补了东垣惟?
