在我们研究早期傩仪的表演形态时,我们奇怪地发现傩总是与熊联系在一起。最早关于傩与熊联系在一起的记载可以上溯到周代(约公元前1066—公元前221)《周礼·夏官》的记载:“方相氏掌蒙熊皮,黄金四目,玄衣朱裳,执戈扬盾,帅百隶而时傩,以索室殴疫。”汉代(公元前206—220)基本上继承了先秦的傩仪制度。“方相氏黄金四目,蒙熊皮,玄衣朱裳,执戈扬眉。”(《续汉书·礼仪志中》)不过增添了“有衣毛角”
