石杉碱甲(Huperzine A,HupA),是从中国石杉科石杉属蛇足杉(Huperzia serrata)(俗称千层塔)中分离得到的一种天然新型石松类生物碱有效单体,为高效、高选择性的乙酰胆碱脂酶(AChE)抑制剂。HupA在治疗阿尔茨海默症(Alzheimer’s disease,AD)方面有显著疗效。近年的研究发现,石杉碱甲还具有多重药理作用:它具有调控神经生长因子的表达与分泌、抗谷氨酸受体等神经保护作用;HupA不仅是一种高效高选择性的中枢乙酰胆碱酯酶抑制剂,而且还通过对抗谷氨酸引起的兴奋毒性、抗氧化应激、抗细胞凋亡等途径,对细胞产生保护,具有治疗多种神经退行性疾病的潜在作用。
