羊头四弦是普米族惟一的弦鸣乐器。普米人十分喜爱四弦琴,每当喜庆佳节,常用四弦琴来赞美生活快乐和幸福,抒发对家乡的热爱,或向姑娘表达心中的爱慕。无论在田间地头,或在木楞房里,到处都会听到抒情、纯朴的四弦音。普米族尚羊,在四弦琴的顶用羊头来做把手,其雕刻精细考究,音质优美,能弹出不同的曲调,是传统歌舞“蹉蹉”的主要伴奏乐器。 Sheep head four strings is the only musical instrument Pumi.
