应用西北农业大学创建的棉枯萎抗性定向培育法,使所有供试感病高产优质品种经人工病床病圃的病原菌持续压力,严格淘汰与系统定向选择,抗性逐年提高,经3~5年即可转化成为高抗品种,这是寄主的遗传免疫功能对生存环境的适应,所产生的定向性渐进变异,和后天获得抗性遗传累加作用的显示。获得高抗性后,原品种丰产性和品质也有改善,从而抗性与精良农艺性状并存,不存在抗性丰产与品质间的必然遗传反相关关系。经20年努力,已应用此法育成高抗良种和材料30余个。
