Through the study of children’s literature published in Hong Kong’s “Overseas Chinese Daily News. Children’s Weekly” from 1947 to 1949, it was found that two types of children’s images were mainly portrayed: one was oppression of child labor; the other was the new children who improved their thinking. Although these children’s images have some characteristics of politicization and adultization, they present the social ideal of creators’ improvement with their authenticity and functionality under the particular political environment and social background at that time. The creation and life value orientation and the development of Chinese society including Hong Kong have a greater impact.
