The author cites the experience of many scholars, indicating that patients with colon and rectal cancer who have liver and lung metastases, such as palliative resection of primary cancer, can almost extend their survival time by about one time. In the author’s 2.160 patients, 310 cases (16.8%) were palliative resections. This article selected some of them to be divided into 5 groups for analysis. In group A, 50 patients with simple liver metastases underwent primary palliative resection. The mortality rate was 4% (2 cases). The remaining 48 cases had an average survival period of 15.1 months. One case survived more than 10 years and 2 cases. Survive for more than 5 years. Among the patients, 11 had good subjective symptoms, 20 had good results, 10 had good results, and 7 had poor results. A certain number of workers who can restore a certain period account for 68.5%. Group B: 25 patients with simple liver metastases, with complete colonic obstruction
