Objective To understand the causes of blood donation to participate in voluntary blood donation, compare the influence of blood donation and donation circle of donors on their participation in unpaid blood donation, and provide scientific reference for recruitment and publicity of blood donation. Methods A questionnaire designed by ourselves was used to survey 1 585 blood donors in downtown Beijing. Results 86.1% of donors knew about blood donation through their blood donors. Among them, 11.2% of donors were able to participate in blood donation. The main reason is that “some people are involved in blood donation”. Blood donors affect the circle of friends to participate in blood donation up to the maximum, while friends blood donation blood donors to participate in blood donation most affected. There was a significant difference (P <0.05) between the number of donors who knew about blood donation behavior and the number of blood donors who could influence their blood donation. 51.4% of blood donors believe that star donation has some effect on blood donation, but star donors donate blood donors to participate in blood donation has the least impact. Conclusion The influence circle has more influence on the blood donation behavior than the circle of concern. In future work, we should give full play to the role of the circle of influence and the circle of attention, enhance the effect of recruitment and publicity, and continuously expand the blood donation team.
