过去铸钢件退火时,我们是将烟道闸门全部开启着燃烧,这样煤耗量很大,有部分热量白白跑掉。后来我们在升温时将烟道闸门关上~3/左右,使废气热量损失减少,迫使火焰在炉内形成强列的涡流。在保温阶段,将烟道闸门完全关闭,减少风量,使炉内形成正压(由于炉门和烟道闸门四周封闭不严,有少量热流向外流出,所以炉内正压不会逐渐增加,与大气压力相差很少)。这样可以保持较长时间不添煤,而温度也不降低。经过多次证明,这样进行退火对铸件机械性能并没有妨碍。
