Located in the heart of Eurasia, the Caspian Sea region is one of the largest oil and gas reserves in the world and its political and economic status is increasingly important in global relations. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, emerging and independent countries in the Caspian Sea opened up to foreign capital. The Caspian Sea region plays a very important role in maintaining the diversity of the world’s oil and gas supply and preserves global energy security. The main purpose of the Caspian Sea countries is to attract more foreign investment to develop their upstream and downstream energy markets. In addition, many countries outside the region also want to maintain their influence in the energy geo-politics of the Caspian Sea. China is one of the most prominent forces . The growing demand for energy gives China reason to deepen its ties with energy exporters in the Caspian Sea. By participating in local energy infrastructure projects, China has opened up new ways of participating in the development of oil and gas resources in the region.
