Among all the major nationalities in the world, the Japanese nation is a non-talking ethnic group. However, it is not because there is no language to speak about. It is a national character developed under a specific cultural environment and has profound Cultural origin and meaning. Without a proper understanding of Japanese silence, we can not successfully carry out cross-cultural communication with Japanese people because this is a very representative non-verbal sign of the Japanese nation and has even risen to the level of nationality. Therefore, understanding Japanese silence will enable us to better achieve intercultural communication.
