In the late twentieth century, the technology and means of detecting ships at sea were rapidly developed and improved. In order to deal with this technology and ensure the safety of naval vessels, the development and research of naval stealth technology came into being. In stealth warship manufacturing, the United States acted first and France took the quickest way. Its “Lafayette” stealth frigate was launched in the early 1990s.
