微波功率模块(MPM)是集真空微波管技术与固态微波集成技术优点于一身的一种新兴微波功率源,具有体积小、重量轻、效率高、成本低等优点。研究了冷阴极触发管的特性及工作原理,提出了一种应用于微波功率模块中的自触发撬棒保护电路技术。它以冷阴极触发管为撬棒管,在行波管发生打火故障时,能快速释放高压电源储能电容上的能量,从而保护行波管和集成电源系统。实验结果表明该电路可以取得较好的性能,对系统可起到一定的保护作用。
Microwave Power Module (MPM) is a new microwave power source that integrates the advantages of vacuum microwave tube technology and solid-state microwave integration technology. It has the advantages of small size, light weight, high efficiency and low cost. The characteristics and working principle of the cold cathode trigger tube are studied. A self-triggered crowbar protection circuit technology is proposed for microwave power module. The cold cathode triggering tube is used as a crowbar tube, which can release the energy of the high-voltage energy storage capacitor quickly when the traveling wave tube ignites, thereby protecting the traveling wave tube and the integrated power system. Experimental results show that the circuit can achieve better performance, which can play a protective role to the system.
