镇原县位于甘肃省东部,属陇东黄土高原沟壑区和黄土丘陵沟壑区第二副区,海拔1100～1780m,年平均降水量400～560mm,无霜期140～170d,全县总人口44.5万人,农村劳力14.8万个,总土地面积3500km~2,有耕地170.1万亩,其中:山地114.9万亩,川地7.7万亩,塬地47.5万亩。 由于长期的不合理经营,使生态环境遭受到严重破坏,致使植被稀疏.自然灾害频繁,水土流失严重,粮产量低而不稳,群众生活困难,“三料”(饲料、肥料、燃料)俱缺的问题尤为突出。
Zhenyuan County is located in the eastern part of Gansu Province. It belongs to the second sub-district of the gully area of Longdong Loess Plateau and the Loess Plateau.
