突泉县地处浅山丘陵区,无霜期125天左右,年平均有效积温2500℃。播种的农作物主要有玉米、谷子、高粱、大豆,其中玉米播种面积占50%以上。多年来,由于自然条件的限制和耕作方式的影响,玉米亩产只在100～150公斤左右徘徊。高产地块丰收年也只能达到250～300公斤。

Sown crops mainly corn, millet, sorghum, soybeans, corn sown area of which accounted for more than 50%.
