具有遗传易感性特点的肌肉强直严重代谢紊乱性高烧常常因大量应用利多卡因酰胺类局部麻醉剂引起。感染、损伤和精神因素也是引起恶性高烧的原因之一。该病多发生在儿童和青少年。恶性高烧首先出现嚼肌紧张,体温每5分钟可升高1℃。恶性高烧与肌浆钙浓度升高有关。因神经末梢产生的乙酰胆硷诱导去极化而导致钙从肌浆网释放出来,肌浆钙升高则能延长肌肉的收缩时间。能量消耗致使线粒体氧化磷酸化过盛,加大ATP的利用,无氧代谢和肌肉痉挛使乳酸储留增加,出现高烧性酸中毒。为了防止恶性高烧的发生,应仔细询问家族史。少数患者有肌束肥大,双侧不对称,睑下垂,斜视和脊柱弯曲等症状。有恶性高烧易感性的人群血清肌酸
