金田水电站砌石支墩坝,是根据硬壳坝及拱坝的原理建造的砌石轻型坝。在河谷较宽的条件下,适合于修建这种形式的坝。该坝于1970年开始施工,1975年建成投产。水库区集雨面积240平方公里,坝高53米,坝后电站装机容量5,800千瓦,计划利用尾水灌溉农田13万亩。大坝全长245米,除溢流坝及两岸边为重力坝外,其余155米均为砌石支墩坝,由13个支墩和12个跨梁组成,经四年多运行,情况良好。
Jinda hydropower station masonry pier is based on the principle of hard-shell dam and arch dam construction light stone dam.
