嘉定,位于上海西北郊与江苏接壤处,是进出上海的门户之一。党的十一届三中全会以来,嘉定城镇住宅建设发展很快,使古老的历史城镇展现出新的容貌,人们的居住条件也在很大程度上得到了改善。据统计,1979～1991年,全区新建住宅130余万m~2,人均居住面积达8.75m~2;1992～1994年,住宅建设有了更进一步的发展,3年共竣工住宅100余万m~2,建设质量也有很大提高,且具有以下特点:
Jiading, located in the northwestern suburbs of Shanghai and Jiangsu border, is one of the gateway to Shanghai. Since the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, construction of residential houses in Jiading City has been developing rapidly, bringing new features to the ancient historical towns and improving people’s living conditions to a large extent. According to statistics, from 1979 to 1991, there were more than 1.3 million m 2 newly-built dwellings in the whole district, with a per capita living area of 8.75m 2. From 1992 to 1994, housing construction had further development, with a total of over 1 million houses completed in 3 years m ~ 2, construction quality has greatly improved, and has the following characteristics:
