郑品麦8号是河南省科学院同位素研究所有限责任公司和河南金苑种业股份有限公司利用辐照诱变技术和传统杂交技术相结合的方法联合选育的优质、高产、稳产、抗性较好的小麦新品种。该品种由(矮抗58/周麦18)F1种子诱变后经系谱法选育而成,于2016年通过国家农作物品种审定委员会审定。在2012—2014年的黄淮冬麦区南片冬水组区域试验中,郑品麦8号的平均产量为7 994.3 kg/hm~2,比对照周麦18增产4.05%;在2014—2015年度的生产试验中,郑品麦8号的产量为8 370.0 kg/hm~2,比对照周麦18增产5.71%。2 a区域试验中郑品麦8号的品质分析结果为蛋白质含量15.13%、14.32%,湿面筋含量32.0%、30.2%,沉降值37.2、28.1 m L,稳定时间8.0、7.9 min,其主要品质指标已达到国家强筋小麦二级标准。抗病性鉴定结果表明,该品种对条锈病近免疫,但高感叶锈病、白粉病、赤霉病和纹枯病。郑品麦8号的成功选育说明,传统杂交技术和辐照诱变技术的有机结合是加快优良小麦新品种选育的一种有效途径。
