According to Dataquest’s statistics, the world’s semiconductor industry recorded an increase of 21.6% in revenue in 1999 from 168.7 billion U.S. dollars to 168.6 billion U.S. dollars in 1998, surpassing the record record of 153.13 billion U.S. dollars in 1995.
