在谈及“no one”的所指和“no one of us(the students,the books...)”这种搭配时,一些词书或专著说no one只指“人”不指“事物”,例如:《新编英语语法(上)》p.186说”...no one指人……”;另一些辞书则说它既可指“人”也可以指“事物”,例如:《英语语法词典》p.466说”...no one可以指人或事物……”。至于“no one of us(the students,the books...)”这种搭配,有的专著则认为它是错误的,例如:《英语语法词典》p.167中说“表示“我们(你们……)中没有任何一个人”时,不能说no one of us/you...,须说none of us/you...”。
When referring to the reference to “no one” and “no one of us (the students, the books ...)”, some word books or monographs say no one means “person” and does not refer to “things” , For example: “New English Grammar (on)” p. 186 says “... no one means ...”; other dictionaries say that it refers to both “person” and “thing”, such as “ English grammar dictionary ”p.466 says“ ... no one can refer to people or things ... ”. As for “no one of us (the students, the books ...)”, some monographs think it wrong. For example, “The Grammatical Dictionary of English Grammar” in p.167 states “We (you ... ...), no one of us / you ... can say none of us / you ... ”.
