我国现行的民族学本科课程体系存在重理论轻实践、内容缺乏时代性、专业课系统性不足、必修课非民族学化等问题。基于专业核心能力(学科知识储备、田野调查能力、专业就业能力和专业发展能力)的视角,遵循创新精神与实践能力培养、特色培养、整体优化、协调发展的原则构建包含概论类、史论类、专题类、方法技术类四种课程类型的课程体系,可帮助解决当前民族学本科课程体系设计过于知识模块化、人才培养不规范等问题。
